Strut, I like to hold out for the big ones and I'm dedicated to doing it. Heck I haven't shot a buck in 4yrs, just waiting on the "right" one, so let me give my opinion. If you don't shoot that 8pt given the chance, I'm gonna come over there and kick your rear!lol Seriously, he is a dang nice buck. I'd say that buck will have to score around 140 P&Y.(or B&C) Any 8pt that scores close to 140 is a heck of a buck, I'd take him.
However, there is some other issues to weigh out. I don't know where you are hunting or how tough it is. Around here in the "big woods" of East Tx, seeing a big mature deer is almost rare. Seeing him twice is almost unheard of. If you feel pretty confident you can track him down next year, you might let him walk. However, if it was me hunting where I hunt, I'd drop him in his tracks and call the taxidermist.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Yeah guys the more I look at him the better he looks. He might be a 10 point, I was getting some pictures of a nice 10 point a couple of months ago with real long eye-guards and this might be him, But I thought he was wider than this one.

Strut, I can't see the G-4's but on first glance I thought it might have been a 10pt too. If he is a 10pt he could easily bump up to the 150's with the added measurements of the G-4's and 2 more circumferences. He is a wall hanger for sure!
