It took me 3 taxidermist to get one to mountmy deer the way he was with both his ears tore up his nose was all tore up ugly looking bugger but it makes him look cool you could tell he was always sparing I would leave everything the way it was

Okay, here's a wrinkle:
Imagine that you shot a tine off, and found the tine?
My buddy's first buck was a huge 160 class 12 pointer (okay, HUGE for Massachusetts) and in his eagerness to keep the buck down he basically unloaded his shotgun at it (the first shot hit the spine and it wasn't going anywhere anyway, but he didn't know that).
His third shot took off the top 6 or 7 inches of the G3. We found the tip and he had it put back on by the taxidermist.

the 8 point i shot this year had an abnormality and it's being mounted as is. on the bottom side of the right main beam, there is a 1/4 inch diameter hole in the antler. i dunno if someone attempted to poach him with a .22 when he was in velvet or if an insect/twig made the hole while in velvet.
