ORIGINAL: Green Pea

It's called Photosop CS. I'm a photographer and can tell you that I could easily enlarge that deer three times the size you see here and adjust everything around it back to scale.

It has about as much validity as Jimmy Houston does as a man.

even if that isnt fake...i will bet itwouldnt go 412....atleast not dressed. I shot a deer that weighed 239 field dressed in upstate ny. my second year of hunting.....let me tell you...it was huge... we had him on a 6x6 beam on the top of our shed his skull was touching the beam and his tail was on the ground. he had a 29 1/2 inch neck, 69 inch chest behind the front legs....57 in front of shoulder on the mount. and he measured 70" long from chest to butt....not including the neck or tail. When a deer goes on the scale at over 200 ( a true scale not estimated human weight) the deer is a huge deer. even 300 pound (Field dressed)deer are hard to come by....even in canada...but they are out there. But 412?....i dunno.... maybe someday i will shoot one?

The heaviest whitetail ever recorded was actually a 500 lb buck taken in Minnesota so 412 lbs is deffinately not out of the picture.

Here's the latest on the story from the Minneapolis paper. Columnist says hunter stepped forward to say it is true and he took it on a Nebraska indian reservation and that he won't name the reservation because he doesn't want it to be overrun with hunters. Also says Bass Pro is doing a full body mount of it. True? You be the judge.

A complete joke. The guy kills a deer that they "think" weighs 412 pounds but they decide not to weigh it? He then asks the writer to 'please' mention the fact that he was wearing scentlock? This guy shot a nice big buck, left it overnight, came back and found it (in his words..) "Bloated" and now he is trying to make a few $ off of it.....
