Wierd stuff in deer meat.
You guys ever find wierd stuff in your deer meat.
I have found bullets, shotgun pellets in a steak I was eating, and yesterday I was preparing some up for cooking and I found one huge freaking thorn, this was in some front shoulder meat.

Just what exactly is "weird" about bullets, shotgun pellets or even a big old thorn?
(Don't forget about broadheads, arrow shafts, fletchings or nocks. Just visit any butcher who does a good volume of deer and he'll show you a world of things)

I found a 6" length of barb wire in a bucks neck one time while butchering it. It had completely heeled over. That particular buck also had two 00 buckshot pellets in it's rear end. And buckshot is not legal here in Illinois.LOL

I've found bullet fragments in ground up meat before when I used to take them to a processor. Since I've butcherd my own, I haven't found anything get past me and into the meat at the dinner table. While butchering I've found lots of old wounds and scars, but never the item that left them.
