No buck again
I didn't see him again tonight so I made up my mind up I was going to stay after dark considering its a full moon tonight and just see if he is still around. Then about 40 yards from me a coyote sreams loud, that's when I changed my mind and decieded to leave. Is tom. a good day to hunt if tonight is a full moon?

RE: No buck again
I find hunting is poor 2-3 days beore and after full moon, here. Anyday hunting will increase your odds at scoring though. I would leave that area settle, you have been around a lot and spooked him, he may be on to you. Don't educate him anymore than you have, after all they are called the "elusive buck" for a reason!!!!

RE: No buck again
be scent free...he lives by his nose and can smell like a bloodhound. He can smell human scent in the air at a 100 yards...no problem. Sounds like you need to wait a week and move close to a thicket he may have transferred to. Get a hunting buddy to rattle for you on the ground a hundred yards away and you shoot the buck when he steps out.
