Late Season Hunt ??'s
OK I've seen little if no deer the whole season. The last 3 times out did not see any, but had signs of them still around. Tracks in mud and recent scat piles in and around the wood edge I hunt. (Last week was BP season and was out 2 full days and 1 half day and not a deer sighted)
Question is this, i hunt a 20 acre wood lot that sets at the back of my fathers 100 acre farm. It has been warm and rainy here for 2 weeks and the woods and all the bedding areas are flooded.
Will the dear still come and feed from the field they have been using or will they totally relocate to where they can bed down also?
Bow season goes until january 31st here in Ohio and just wanted some opinions on if the deer will come back or stay with the water problem I have.

Tough to say, I would maybe shine the field during the night. (IF LEGAL) If there are deer in the field, you have an answer. The deer turn very nocturnal during late season and it gets tough. good luck!

I've been having the same problem here in S.W. Pa.
it feel's more like trout season then late archery. I hunt an 86 acre lot on private property, and as much as i hate to say it but as much as i love the privacy in the fallyou need other hunter's in the wood's moving the deer because they have pretty much went nocturnal.
good luck
