Deer have a winter area that they use only in the winter called their "yard". When in their yard they will stay in an area of around 1 sq mile. This could very well be why there was no sign there then and there is now.

Like others said deer will move to where the food is at. They also start to herd up this time of year in my area. On my property in Northern Michigan they move into the swamps to stay out of the "weather". If it was so easy to pattern them it wouldn't be so addicting, at least for me! Good luck! Keep the info others posted and apply it for next season! You will always be learning, I do!

Yeah! And in my experience, its EVEN better to find them standing IN the tracks, taking a CRAP!

Jag, you would'nt?
