High power Binos
I have some nice Binos, Leupolds 10x42 I think is what they are.
I was going to get a Leupold Seqouia spotting scope for longer rang spotting. But I was htinking I would rather have some High power Binos. Maybe somehting in the 12-20 power x 60-80.
What would you recommend? I want to be able to scan a hillside Like you can with a spotting scope but with Binos. Something that has a great power and will let in alot of light to see detail.
Of course somethign not to pricey.

If you are far enough away that you can't see what you want to see with 10x, then you will probably need a spotting scope. From 10x to 12x, there isn't really enough difference to justify a new set of binoculars. Anything over that, and you'll nearly needa tripod anyway. The increase in magnification also magnifies wobble, making it hard to hold steady enough to discern the image. And you can get a decent spotting scope at a decent price. I don't know that you can do the same with binoculars. Plus, the binoculars will be 2x as heavy as the spotting scope.

RE: High power Binos
I bought a set of Zeiss Conquest 12x45's this year and absolutely love them. They are hands down better than my old Leupold Wind River 10x's. I was looking at the 15x's but decided that I probably could not hold them steady. The 12x's are really not that bad to hold. The Zeiss are a little pricey, but in my opinion are worth ever penny.
