Well 12 total actually per gun season.
10 antlerless and 2 antlered per rifle and shotgun. And 10 antlerless and 2 antlered for muzzleloader. Thats a total of 24 allowed each year just for those 2 seasons. Their are also limits for bow which are different than for gun. You are right about haveing to kill 2 antlerless before taking 2nd antlered. You also will need a bounus antlered stamp before killing 2nd antlered deer.
You will need to take a hunter education course before purchaseing a Hunting license in Maryland. You cannot get a hunting license without it unless youAlready had a Hunting license before1977. I think thats the right date.

I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but are you pulling my leg? I see you have made a 141 posts on these forums. you must know something by now. I don't mean to ffend you but this question you are asking now is easily answered in your guide book or on the DNR website.
You will need to check it in via phone or the DNR website. they will ask you a few questions that you need to answer and they will give you a confirmation number for the butcher and to put on your license.

blwalt17, you're doing the right thing by asking questions. I think someone has already suggested you take a hunters safety course. I would think it's probably mandatory for a first time hunter. Gun safety is the most important thing you can learn before doing any type of hunting. You might try asking a family member to let you tag along on a hunt for this year.
Now that is a deer hunters dream right there......
You still have a lot of horny deer out there
