I think the rebel nailed it! Short'en sweet, find there tracks in the woods. Now that all the leaves have fallen you should be able to pinpoint the dear trails again, into funnels, up ridges, and they'll be moving at dusk and dawn! Well except for that 10 to 2 rule, I saw two deer at about 2:30 last week on the edge of a pine thicket, just after a four wheeler road by on the neiboring property. If you can't figure them out just hunt all day, sit still in the morning and evening, scout/hunt during the midday, you'll find them. Good Luck!!

When I hunted public land,I went the other way.Near the road.If everyone is heading as deep as they can into the woodsthe safest place for them is to go where the hunters just left.Worked for me.

Well it happened today again, saw a big bodied buck crossing a powerline at around two! I was in my truck driving to the property, go figure. The closest I got to a deer was the deer tick I just removed from my neck! This 10 to 2 idea is starting to get my attention.
