i agree...cant really make someone understand WHY we hunt...and why we love what we do so much......i tried...i tried to write essays on it for english class......im at a loss of words...you can explain it some...but its kinda...unexplainable.....excpecially for me and others like me.....born a hunter.....dad had me fishing in diapers.....and when i could walk i was tottin behing him to his corner of a field to shoot groundhogs....when i could walk better and make it through the wood he took me squirrel hunting....showing me sign of diffrent animals..what it meant...why they did it...ect.....then coon hunting....started shooting a little mini red ryder type BB gun at a very young age...4 or 5 id say...i remember dad would walk out a tin vegtable can and give me 50 bbs...and keep track of the hits...then a better pellet gun to shoot alone in the back yard...and 22s when i was with him....then bigger guns...then it was the xmas before i turned 12....i got my first gun....20ga single shot....turned 12 in march....hunted turkeys that spring.....been doin it ever since.....cant explain why...i love it.....its who i am....its what i do.....i dont wanna know what id be doin if i didnt hunt...but you really cant tell a non hunter WHY we do it.......they just cant understand....heck i know alot of hunters that cant understand me....they say im nuts....wakin up wed at 6am to go walk around the woods rain or shine......after 8am classes all week.....my only day to sleep in and i go hunting.....going home...and waking up at 6am to hunt ALL day dawn to dusk saturdays...after class all week...8ams all week and 6am hunting wed....turkey season i hunt most every day before highschool......would goto school till 11...work 11-4 or 12-5....then 530-11pm at the second job....get up at 5am and turkey hunt till 740...do it all over again....yep..school all muddy and dirty in camos all of may!! lol....cant explain it.....that feeling....kept me going.....alot of days it poured too......if it didnt pour the mile of waist high hay field soaked me either way...sitting there in the 50degree temp shivering waiting for the sun to rise.....i love it.....
