i usually pour mine on the ground,i have some that i've kept up for several years and theres a big hole in the groundfrom where they dig it, keep it fresh with new minerals and you'll see the results.

I tried deer cane one year in my rifle stand area and never saw a deer after that. It sucks. I did try some Black Magic made by the makers of the Deer Cain Blocks, this year, hopefully it will begin to work.

I put out a few Trophy Rocks last year and this spring there were holes in the ground and tracks everywhere. But my brother put a couple out in another area and they were nottouched. Guess it depends on the location.

I hunt in Oklahoma and have very good luck with a trophey rock. I have seen them line up to use it. If you can leave one year around.

I tried the deer caine black a few years ago and will NEVER purchase another one. I placed mine out in a spot where i had excellent deer travel, from the next day, clear through bow season and gun season I never saw a deer. Its a joke.
