Is this deer really small or something?? This pic is from last week...I can't believe any deer would be that small this late in the year...

I'd say thats a really small fawn...I hope it makes it through the winter even though I have my doubts

looks like its still got a couple spots on the back leg, a late born fawn is all.

I've seen 5 in the last couple of weeks in south Bama a lot smaller than that. Rabbit size, umbilical cord still attached on a couple.

looks about the size of the one thatI mistakenly took to be a big deer at 30 yrds only the one I shot had lost its spots but it was no bigger then that one and that was only last week.

Sure looks like a late born fawn...Tons are born like that every year...

If this pic is from Atlanta, GA, why do folks feel it will not survive rthe winter?
