The fact that he got it on a little, privatewoodlot in the middle of suburbia tells me AR had nothing to do with it. Nobody has hunted these deer for years and he was lucky to get permission. If he got it onpublicland in the big woods region then I would agree.

I live in the area that the hunter shot it. There are some monster deer around here but you can't hunt them. I have a few spots where i have seen monster deer but have asked permission numerous times to no avail. Around this area(suburbs of philly), its hard to get permission to hunt this small plots where the deer live. The deer know it and hardly ever leave the property(except during the rut). I take advantage of this by asking everyone in area surrounding the deer for permission and get some success. If the deer leaves the property, you can bet i will be near by in case he makes a mistake. Antler restriction was never needed in the suburbs around philly. The deer get big cause you can't hunt them. In the middle of the state, (like Penn State), all season, all i saw was small 2-6 points with one 10 point and one 8 point. I did not see one doe all bowseason while on stand. No does, no more bucks[&:]....we'll see how things play out though this year....

How about a congrats to the lucky sportsman instead of convincing everyone how "easy" his deer was to hunt! One thing's for sure, if it's a mature buck.... they are hard to tag anywhere!
