I got the chance to play with the new canon HD tonight and I have always been a sony guy but this camera is great. I played with it for a while and it was awesome great features, and easy to use. All I can say now I want one

Nic don't go telling me this Tater and I can't afford any more!!!!! HOw was the low light compared to the sony?? Walt

My buddy who bought it said that it is not as good as the 170 but it is still good, but some of the other features I think make up for it.
If I only had the 4500

If it was the canon XHA1 it is supposed to have better low light than the pd170..........you can also pick it up @ newegg.com for less than $3500 and the min lux rating is 0.4...........a buddy of mine just bought one and likes it alot.

You might be right I was going off the info my buddy gave me. If you are looking for a new camera they are great that is not that bad of a price either
