RE: Anybody want to hunt Ohio?
Walt, I sure hope you guys get a few big ones on the ground early so you can have fun and maybe do more filming. Sure, anything to help out the WKP team. We all need to do everything we can to increase our kills and maybe get Todd to release a double DVD this year. I do have some clients coming in to hunt in early November, but I have more land than hunters right now. We just need to through a little money at the landowners, make them happy and we’re all set.
rudy78, I have farms in Muskingum & Licking Counties and they’re close to you. That’s a killer area you have and I know you’ll have some luck there. Yes, Illinois gets all the press and Ohio just sits back and produces monsters that go unnoticed. I don’t know what these deer will score, got to be in the 160 range and I thought I was looking at a mule deer at first.

Maybe I will have to meet up with you when I'm there some night. I think we will be there the week of Thanksgiving. If possible we might even be interested in hunting on your ground for a little $. Keep in touch.

buckeyehntr, That is an awesome buck, Congrats! Yes, Muskingum and those surrounding counties are the best in all of Ohio, in my opinion. Muskingum checked in about 8700 deer, talk about loaded! Big bucks and lots of deer andtags over the counter; you just can't beat it. Keep us posted on your season and good shooting. Craig

Thanks, it was an eight point mainframe with split g-2's(lovin that!) It had a spread of a 13 3/4. The main beams crossed in the front which I thought was really cool.
Here is the finished mount along with an 18pt that grossed 209 and I believe netted around 187". My buddy shot the buck onthe samelease in shotgun season. I'm pretty sure it placed 3rdat the deer & turkey expo in Columbus this past summer.
