Anyone know of Stump Park, Colorado?
All I know is, a guy at work says this is around the area we intend to bowhunt for elk this season. I cannot find it on a Colorado website. Thanks.

Hello Cougar Mag,
I live in CO and so I thought I'd check out my topo maps for you. Well I found an area called Stump Park. It's approx. 32 miles north (and slightly east) of Steamboat Springs not far from the Wyoming boder. The WGS 84 coordinates are 40° 56.452 N, 106° 42.840W (degrees, Minutes, Minutes). Hope this helps. See map photo below.

Good luck on the hunt. Here is some suggestions I pulled off of my hunting software.
"Independence Mt., Stump Part and Hog Park are the best elk areas in this unit. The elk will be in the dark timber durning the day, glass in hte early morning and evening. The herd tends to stay in the coniferous timbered areas until late in the season, moving to lower elevations with snow and hunting pressure."
Have a good hunt.
