Bethel Black Powder Cow Elk Tags
Hi all. Am new to this forum. My son and I drew cow elk tags for black powder hunt in Bethel this year. Not my normal stomping grounds, though I hunted the Little Rattlesnake Creek drainage in '92 and took a black powder mule deer at the bottom of the western side of Bethel Ridge. I have not hunted any of the rest of the unit. We will be doing some scouting over the next month, but would appreciate any insights or advice from those in the know. Thanks for any help!

Hi, I've had some success in the Bethel. There will be cows pretty much everywhere early on. If they get some pressure, take a good look at cougar canyon down towards the safety zone.
