Default Things to do in Livingston, Montana

I'll have a couple of extra days in Livingston this fall after my elk hunt and I was just looking for ideas of places to go/see.

if i'm not mistaken the out of state license allows you to hunt upland game and yotes are always in season.

jroot,

Yes, the out of state license does have fishing and small game included.

I was looking for someplace to go after the hunt.

neweboarhunter, What are your hunt dates? When will you be in Livingston? I might have some time off when you are there? If I do I could take you upland bird hunting or fly fishing? Just let me know the dates & if you are interested? I have extra shotguns & flyrods.

Livingston has a good sporting goods store called Yellowstone Gateway sports. If you happen to forget anything for your hunt? Yellowstone gateway sports will have it for you. If you don't find what you need, ask them if they have it at there "four corners" store? They will call & find out if they do? If they have it there someone will bring it to Livingston asap. You should have the item in your hands in less than one hour.
Livingston is also home to Dan Baileys fly fishing shop. This is where the elite fly fisherman hang out.
I am told Livingston has a few good restaurants. I have only ate at the fast food places like pizza hut, hardees & McDonalds. I have aslo been to the Pickel Barrel twice. The pickel barrel is a deli style sandwich shop/restaurant, you will not leave there hungry.
You could kill one day in Livingston just walking around playing tourist. I think you will be board after one day?

good luck,

WK

except he probably left the shotgun and the fishing rods at home, that would be a bummer
