E.WA early ML Elk
HEy, Wayne, Doc, and others who live on the better side. Got a question for ya.
Seems I'm gonna try my hand at Muzzleloader for Elk this year. The early season starts Oct.1.
Do you notice if the Elk are still bugling much around that time? It's supposedly their secondary rut period? Just wonderin' guess my Uncle got a herd spotted over around Sherman somewhere...be nice to try and call one in
Thanks.

Up in the Coweeman I take it? Buddy of mine hunts that a lot. Lots of Elk down that way, kind of like the Winston area too, gettin close to St.Helens where the Elk may wander over into the hunting areas[8D]

Not sure when...I've only been hunting there for about the last 4 year's....I do know...during rifle season....they open the gate's on the week-end's......which they don't do for us bow hunter's.....guess they figure we have an advantage...[8D]...Oh well.....I really don't mind....sure don't hardly run into any other hunter's.
