Wyoming Moose hunting and packing in on my own, Could use some help!
I learned how to pack in the Forest Service taking trail crews out into the Wilderness areas and A.Z. canyons. I have bought two of my own horses and plan on getting at least one more for now so I can hunt away from the roads and get into the high country. This is the best way to do it yourself. I meet lots of others who do this as I do hunter patrols now. That is of course if I'm not hunting. I have enough preference points to get a moose tag in Wyoming this year and want to hear from anyone who has hunted moose in western Wyoming and has any tips. I could swap some info on hunting in S.W. New Mexico as that is where I live now.

yeah i hunted moose in wyoming two years ago and let me tell you what you need to have. get a crane because its a bitch getting the moose back to camp! You will also need a surgical doctor who can remove the 300 pounds of guts in the moose.300 pounds is more than almost all deer! but a moose hunt is the most exhausting hunt i ever had! but it makes a good story to your buddies! good luck and by the way are you hunting near jackson hole wyo. ?
