I' ll be leaving to bow hunt Elk in ID next Saturday. I' ll be hunting about an hour and a half north of Boise, north of Garden Valley.
Any of you know if there is any snow there yet an if so at what altitude?

No snow as yet longs but is was about 36 degrees at 4,000 foot elevation last Saturday Sept. 13 Bring warm cloths for early morning or late evening hunts.

Extended forecast says it will be in the 80' s starting Saturday. 40' s at night.

No snow as of yet. You should be hunting warm weather conditions.

Like the other poster said bring some warm stuff for early mornings.

Keep on eye on the weather reports in case it changes but for now it is looking warm.

If you will be over 6,000 feet reduce those numbers by 5 or 10 degrees.

Thanks fellows, I always pack to dress in layers so your advise is appreciated.
I was hoping for a little snow to improve visability and make the hunt a bit easier.
