DYI Help?
Howdy Folks,
Im looking to tag up with some folks and get some information on public or BLM type hunting. I am in Texas and we dont have a drawing system or a whole lot of public hunting oppurtunities so this is all new to me. I have for years dreamed of harvesting a trophey of each of the American Big Game animals, but as a sportsman I want to earn them. I recently did my first free range hunt for Oryx and I fell in love with it, have another planned for September of this year. All that said the concept of hunting the midwest has been strong on my mind as of late, I know there is alot of land open to anybody but to increase success I would like to spend some time chatting with some folks to learn the ins and outs, get pointed towards some beneficial literature, and maybe even meet a group of people who could use some company on a hunt.
A little background on myself. I am management minded, as much as I admire a trophey I am more concerned about the harvest of a mature animal or herd management. I have alot of experience rifle hunting, breaking the surface of archery. Hunting and fishing is what I do, I am activly in the process starting my own online forum here in Texas to allow other folks as passionate about the outdoors as I am an oppurtunities to network and share info. Also tring to step my way onto the taxidermy scene.
Thanks in advance folks, any and all information is helpful.
