Advice for Idaho 66A/76 Diamond Creek A Elk tag
Okay, based on some advice earlier in the year I purchased a Diamond Creek Zone A elk tag, archery tag for September.
To be honest, I'm a little worried as I noticed it seems to be a rather "small" unit for 1600+ tags but went with the advice. Has anyone hunted this region in the last couple years and can offer some advice? I'd like to think there's some areas I could hike it back in to get away from the crowds but not sure if that's possible. Aside from that, any advice on the following.

- contact for the local Idaho game and fish biologist.
- Typical elk rutting dates in this area.
- Any other advice.
