Drew AZ Cow Elk Tag
Well, I finally get to hunt in my own state this year I wanted a bull tag but got my 5th choice cow elk tag in unit 6B instead. Oh well there goes the points but atleast I can hopefully get some of the best meat in the world!

Congrats on drawing the tag! Elk meat is mighty tastey, that's for sure!
I've applied in AZ, but never actually drawn a tag so I'm not 100% sure... But are you sure you loose your preference points? In most states if you don't get one of your first choices you still get to keep you PP's...

I got skunked again this year...so out of state it is for me this year. Good luck on you 6b cow.

Here in AZ you loose all your points except hunter ED and loyalty point (get a point after your 4th year applying)...loyalty point only stays if youcontinue to apply without interruption.

Congrats on you Cow Tag. I have never hunted 6B but I was lucky enough to draw a 5BS Bull Tag (archery) this year. It is the first tag I have had in 7 years. I plan to hunt deer in my unit in August so I can use that time to also scout for my Elk Hunt. Is your tag Archery or Rifle? Regardless, good luck on your hunt and enjoy some great Elk Steaks.

hope you didn't burn too many pts for that cow tag.....but I assume you got what you wanted......
friend drew unit 10 archery bull elk tag, I may come out and tag along on the hunt, apparently he was drawn early enough he could have had the unit 10 rifle rut tag.....think he had 8-10pts though, so he was due I think....
I didn't get lucky, course I only have 2 pts so far. Can't wait to draw that tag one day, hopefully I'll get lucky before 10 years passes, but if not oh well.
Was ready to choke my father.....his elk draw results......"rejected, no signature!" he does this stuff time and time again on purpose I think to spite me! haha.
