Not to jack this post but I missed a 170+ and my buddy got a 150 incher. Not to bad for first time mulie hunters from back East on a DIY hunt. You guys were right about the weather warm in the 60's on the bottom and snow and in the 40-50's on top. Next time I'm either going with a bunch of guys so we can drive straight through in a motor homeor I'll fly into Billings and rent a truck. It just took to long to get there and we lost5 days of huntingbecause of the drive. The only thing I will miss is the 4 wheelers. Unless that is you can rent them? Heck I'll even settle for horses! Like stated in my other post we met some good local hunterswho gave us the low down and for that I am greatful. I was a little bummed out to the fact that the whole area above theBig Horn riveris accessable by 4x4 or quad.

I agree, way to much access and way to many hunters in some areas.

You can rent 2007 Suzuki Kingquad 450's at The Passage now (the resort south of Bear Lodge on highway 14).

Wyo Ghost, now that you mention it I remember seeing the quadslined up with the flags at the top of them. They were all brand new red ones (I think)

Randy, there is way to much access!even a flat footer like me would have liked to see more walk in only areas. It is kind of strange that allot of the ravines are off limits to quads but you can go to the top and come some of the way down them. I walked off one of the roads to get to an open area which I thought was tucked away from vehicles and the next thing i know 2 quads out of nowwhere appear! I felt like I just wasted an hour walking for nothing! It seems to keep the deer activitydown right up until 15 minutes before dark.
