Default Advice for a High Buck Hunt in WA state?

Going to hunt in the Cascades in a couple of weeks during the High Buck season. Going to be hunting the Henry M. Jackson Wilderness area via the Pacific Crest trail. Was planning on hiking up in the late morning and setting up for an evening hunt. Any tips that might improve my odds?

Default RE: Advice for a High Buck Hunt in WA state?

I did it once and got skunked.

My hunting buddy did it for a few years and had one shot the whole time (he put about three weeks in of the course of a few years). We were in Alpine Lakes wilderness. There it is a low percentage hunt so my only advice would be bring a book and something you can pop some grouse with if you get desperate to bloody a gun.
