Default Late Elk Bow Hunt in Little Naches

Well folks, an unsuccessful year so far but I may end up heading to Little Naches area in WA for late bow season. Has anyone hunted this area yet and if so how was the wildlife scenery?

My hunting partners went to that area. Unfortunately, they didn't get anything. They said that the weather was warm (I guess in the day time) in the last two trips that they went. No snow yet.

I live over here in yakima and know some guys who hunted the late muzzleloader season and didnt see much but were starting to get a little bit of wheather, so it might be pretty good this weekend. we got a little bit of snow last night and there maybe calling for alittle more.

More good news on the weather, its snowed about 2 inches as of early this morning and is still coming down pretty good, i think if you hunt that little naches unit you might do pretty good, maybe at least see some animals, this weather will have them moving around at least.

Thanks for the great news kirkl. Hopefully it won't snow too terribly hard - I would hate to get snowed in - but there is nothing worse than trying to hunt in hard crunchy snow either. Did you harvest anything this year? If I remember right from the postings last year you rifle hunt? I checked out your website earlier in the year. Hopefully you and your family have saved some animals for us to harvest (smile) I wonder if the state will close Chinook Pass this week. YIKES

I dont think youll have to worry about getting snowed in. Im not sure if were supposed to get much more, ya im a rifle hunter and didnt get anything this year, seen 1 legal buck and two spike elk and couldnt get shots off at any of them. Owell, always next year. Im not sure about chinook.
