I am looking for just about any one from some one that knows 0 to the good old boy that has been around the block.I do a lot of fishing/hunting/trapping and calling.I have just about any items needed,So I am not looking for some one to bring items or do all the work.Just a bud to go with.

I am in helena Mt But run 100 miles at a drop of a hat.

Charles, lets hit the river at the same time this archery season and do a float trip. I know you did good there last year and I had oppurtunties every day also. I was too far in by myself and the temps were way too high to bring an elk out without spoiling it and killing myself.
I know you and Chad camped on the south side as I was on the north.
Almost every evening I had a herd of cows and calves swim within 10 yrds of me. I didn't want a cow as I could of shot one almost every day, but I did see some descent bulls too, almost every morning, but it would of been just too much work. Maybe its just catching up with the ole man.
Stay in touch and keep practicing.

Bobby

Hi bobby
Chad says he is putting in for a tag this next year.No matter what I will be hunting out there for a few weeks.
There is a group of doctors that camp right next to me.It makes it real nice they help my camp out any time as we will do the same for them. This year we drug one of there bulls allmost a 1/2 mile or more. That was the longest drag so far :} Keeping it close to whater.I passed on 5 bulls befor shooting the one I shoot.I think I should have waited. Wife shoot at a 400 bc bull 2 days after we got mine home.We hunted it hard every day for 4 or 5 days just did not get the shot.
I will get my hands on a canoe for this next year.I likehowqueit I can move in to my stand.I will still take the big boat out to get the elk back to the camp.

I will yell at you when I find out if chad gets a tag. Allso I go out there 1 or 2 times a year for fishing [scouting] If you would like I will yell at you when I take off out there.

I can do that. I have a k-111 prediator fishing kiaak that works well for fishing. I was thinking about pulling a couple inner tubes behind it and elk hunt the islands with it. I''ll be out there for bow season when the rut starts. Looking forward to sharing a campfire with you.

Charles,
I live in Bozeman, and have been wanting to elk hunt the Helena area. I am an avid bow hunter and would love to check out some new/different hunting areas. We will have to catch up with each other next Sept. and hunt both areas.

Charlie let me know if you want to hook up for a bow or muzzleloader elk hunt. I have been out west on do it yourself elk hunts with some success in the past.

Charlie, My name is Mike. I am always looking for someone to hunt with, as the guys I know are more into rifle hunting. I have never killed an elk, but I am a whitetail assasin. (haha). I would love to show you my whitetail property( Teton/ Spring Creek- ALL PRIVATE- BIG BUCKS) in exchange for some elk hunting. I f this sounds good, get back to me.
