Great advice and very much appreciated. I always feel bad asking because I know how I would feel if it was my property. I'd be really hesitant to let strangers on because, I'd sure hate to get into a mess like you had. That probably prevents me from being as diligent at getting out and knocking on doors. My buddy and I (and our sons) always try and do something for those who give us permission (we've even done volunteer work on the SWA's) and leave it better than we found it.

I like the idea of taking the "pest" approach. We are always looking for a place to hunt rabbits as well, but I've been turned down a few times by people I approached eventhough they were complaining about the rabbits. It must me the "unknown factor". I'll try the areas you suggested.
