Congrats on your new gun!! I agree with Viking Hunter on shooting clays. Try Sporting Clays if you have any ranges in your area. One warning tho.....It is VERY addictive. I started in January and just can't get enough! Great practice for Pheasants and Ducks. You'll love it. Good Luck!

I cant think of whats it called right now but do the 870's have the holes on the side of the barrel for recoil, i dont mind recoil but i hate extra noise. Im looking for a shotgun for squirrel to Geese and the 870 is my choice for now. Its only 10pm and im tired, been mowing all day and my brain aint working.

Thanks carp, i woke up this A.M. and Ported was the first thing I thought of. I was just tired last nite Thats good to hear about the 870's as i dont want the extra noise of the ported barrel.
