Banded Goose
Last weekend when I was out on the swamp, I shot my first goose ever and was lucky enough to fill out my limit (2 geese). The second goose that I shot actually ended up being banded. I called in and gave the information, I haven't gotten it yet, this goose was huge and it had a Bird Band on it from Maryland. I don't know if that is where it was actually shot, but it was shot about 20 miles from the western border of minnesota. I will post up pictures and the information on it when I get the letter. I forgot to bring the hookups for the camera to my parents place this weekend. So I should have it all next week.

The state bands birds at a local park/golfcourse in my area. a few years ago my friend shot a banded goose, and about a month later, i shot one from the same field, and the numbers on the bands were CONSECUTIVE. Didn't even call mine in. Kind of took the thrill out of it.

RE: Banded Goose
Well I lost the cable for my camera to hook it up to the pc.
But the Goose was a female, and was banded in Storm Lake, Iowa on July 7, 2003 when it was too young to fly..I Harvested the bird on Lockhart Swamp in Minnesota on October 14, 2006. That is 439 Miles almost straight south of where I live.
