cant find any hunting land/lease/club,. please give suggestions
hey again,
i am having trouble finding good, or any, hunting land/leases in Md. I dont really like public land but i have no other land to really hunt turkey + deer + whatever. I was wandering how you guys, your friends and families go about finding hunting land - either for lease, hunting clubs, exhanging farm work for hunting privilieges . I really hate public land, i feel like im the one being hunted with all the competetion, it sort of isnt safe. anyways, please post a reply or send an email ([email protected]) and help me out, i would really appreciate it.

I agree with emo, come on down to Ohio or WV. We've got plenty of land at www.RurRet.com for sale.
Seriously though,in the long term I haveplans to offer land throughout the MidWest, but that probably will take a few years!

Every state has detailed countymaps (available at courthouses) that show all landholdings and list owners names. Using that, you could then cruise around areas and scout out promising spots. Some out of state folks have come to Illinois and done that. They then start knocking on landowners doors and asking if they are interested in leasing. You can try the same strategy in terms of just asking for permission to hunt. You might get shot down many times, but all you need is one yes.
