Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Well, I would with this in mind: I've always been told and read that the best wingbone yelpers are from the wingbones from a hen. For me at this point in my turkey hunting career would be the only reason.

Well, I'd eat it too.

Not in the spring, fall would be fair game for me though
Ditto .
We can't even take a hen here until this year when we get our very first Fall turkey season which will be either sex .

I haven't seen any bearded hens , but there's a piebald(grey phase) hen that's been coming around lately . My wife doesn't want me to shoot here , but I've explained that if she leaves our property or the one next door then she's fair game for all and won't make it past the season since she can't hide . The fact that her wing feathers would look very sweet at the end of my arrows had also occured to me too though ...

To me, its almost like a non-typical deer, its a rare find, and would make a fine trophy
