I am having trouble using these calls. I was wondering how many of you had trouble
when you first started using them.

The whole first year that I tried using diaphragm calls it was horrible. I could make noises....but none resembling a hen turkey! Then all of a sudden it just came to me....I learned how to "huff" air across the reed to make the basic sounds, and the rest just came with practice. I used to drive my wife crazy with that thing.....even practiced in the shower!

i think everybody has trouble at first, some more than others. i didnt have a whole lot of trouble, but my dad still cant use one and hes been trying since last year! it just kinda came to me, my only problem is purring...
