Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default nitro question

Will nitro make a load to work with your existing choke? The Rhino is just too expensive.

Default RE: nitro question

I copied this right from Nitro's webpage...

"Nitro Company will create a load for most guns. Send us your gun and we will make a load (or use one of our advertised loads) for maximum performance out of your gun. We create loads for hevi-shot®, copper plated lead, nickel plated lead, lead, steel and bismuth shot. We can design a load with a choke and shot size customized to your particular gun for tight patterns.

Patterning for hevi-shot® costs $290.00, which will include a choke and 5 shells. If you already have a choke that reaches maximum performance, then the cost would be $220.00. Shipping the gun back to you would be an additional $15.00 ($20.00 if shipped in a small guncase).

Patterning for copper plated lead, nickel plated lead, and steel costs $190.00, which will include a choke and 10 shells. If you already have a choke that reaches maximum performance, then the cost would be $120.00. Shipping the gun back to you would be an additional $15.00 ($20.00 if shipped in a small guncase).

Any shells you may purchase as well as shipping charges above the amount you get with your patterning, would be an additional charge."

Looks like it would be better to just buy the Rhino choke and shells Nitro suggests for your given shotty application. Yup.

Nitro is going to charge you almost $300.00 to find the load for your gun and choke tube. You much better off spending $80.00 for a Rhino choke specifically for your gun!!
