IT HAS BEGUN
Talked with my bro-in-law today. He said he walked to an area yesterday where we hunt & he said he saw wingtip lines in the sand where one has been strutting. Have any of you guys seen any other signs? It kinda worries me though, its still a good 2 weeks before season startes. Ya'll think they may get started gobblen early & end way before the season ends? I hope not. I'm in Alabama by the way.

Yesterday I was driving past an old turky hunting honey-hole. Telling my buddy about the great hunting I had had over the years there. Looked over by the place where I park and there are 3 mature toms....full strut. As I stopped the truck to watch, I saw many hens and several more smaller jakes. All of this in 29 degree weather with 5 inches of snow on the ground here in Michigan.

i saw about 25 turkeys yesterday, 3 mature toms in full strut and a bunch of hens and jakes...Im kinda worried, our season doesnt come in until april 27...but i guess thats good because by then the hens will be on nests and the big boys will be looking for girlfriends.

Seeing lots of toms on the corn pile I have in front of the game camera, but nothing strutting yet. There is a flock of about 12 and all but 2 are long beards............ I got pics of 6 of them in the same pic a few days ago.

It looks like we will have another early breeding season here . Last year by opening day they were mostly through the season and it made very hard hunting . They have been strutting for a week or so around here .
