In search of a decent slate or crystal call...any suggestions?

RE: In search of a decent slate or crystal call...any suggestions?
IBM,
Most of my slates are older and no longer produced, however a
couple of years ago I picked up "The Freak" , from Primos, in
both the regular slate and the crystal. I've had good succes with
both, and they're a dream for bowhunters. You are taking
the 'stick & string' aren't you.
I'd consider one of the aluminum "slates" on the market too. Their
sound really travels well in the woods and , from my experience,
the turkeys love 'em too. I've got MADD's Super Aluminater, not
sure if it's still on the market???
You should pick up 1/2 dz strikers or so. I usually carry 3-4 in the
field as each one sounds like a different turkey. Purpleheart, rosewood,
hickory, and aluminum are some of my favorites.
Find any sheds yet? I see where you had the Illinois Deer Classic
last weekend, did you have a chance to go? Ours is this weekend,
probably have to take a day off from "stand work" and look at
some of the "big boys" .

Just bought a Primos power crystal on ebay brand new for 8 bucks 12 after shipping. If your looking for a produced call you can find just about anything on ebay right now. I have found several good deals.

I sell custom slate calls with artwork burned into them. They have a great sound. I can make from Walnut, mahogany, cherry about any wood. I use high quality slate and hand build every one. Ridge. Here's an example of one of my Kentucky Thunder calls. I guarantee no one else has this one. I only make a few of each call.
