nice work!!! good job! it took me 5 years.....last year was my first.....i passed on birds waiting for a better shot or didnt think i could make the shot.....ect and the bird would always disappear before giving me a better shot.....so i kinda know what you went through......and how much he means to you.....heck i killed another one yesterday that is bigger and has a prettier fan but i have no room for him.......and i dont think i want to take down the one from last year...he was my first........but i dont know...maybe ill do the old switcharoo every year put up the next fan and beard and spurs....and do something else with the old beard and spurs.......im still thinking on what to do as my new one drys in the garage......congrats......good job....keep them falling!!!

Great story and congrats to you. You don't have to wait til next season if you find someone to take out. Sounds like you have an abundance of birds and you can do the calling. It's just as rewarding if you pull on in for a friend even thou you don't pull the trigger, especially if it's a youth and his first bird.
