Alabama turkey hunting
Alright you all. I'm headed off to "Private Land" in Alabama to hunt the "Eastern" bird in 4 days. As you've all seen in my other post, "Sorry Team 3", that I'm only a second year turkey hunter and have only at this point hunted the Osceola way down in the tip of southern Florida.
Any tips or advice on the Eastern would be nice.

RE: Alabama turkey hunting
Be patient!!! I've been busted on 3 nice birds so far this year. They are gobbling good right now, but we're starting our 3rd week of the season and they are leery of the call to say the least. Try not to over call. I just took a good one on Friday and he never gobbled. I'd been working another bird about 400yds and got busted then got on this one. The other bird would gobble his head off, but would never get in sight or in range. I got busted trying to get closer to him and misjudged the terrain/cover. Patience, Patience, PATIENCE. Good luck and enjoy our great state's hunting.
