RE: SP-10 owners. what choke and shells shoot best?
I have the sp10 in the turkey special with a 23 inch barrel.
I've had excellent success with a Hastings .690 choke and Nitrocompany's 101L load with 3 ounces of nickel plated #4s. Outpatterned Federal and Winchester's factory #5s by a large margin. Absolutely amazing. I did pattern 5 different loads from nitro, but even the worst of them were much better than factory loads. Nitro will let you mix up a box of 10 to do test patterning.
Nitro actually recommends the Rhino choke with the 4 X 5 X 7 1/2 loads. But I didn't want to spend $80 for another choke when the Hastings has done a good job. Also scared of the loads with 7 1/2 shot. They'll be good out to 40 yards, but beyond that I don't trust them.
Before I switched to Nitro, I found for some reason that the Remington 2.25 ounce factory load of #4s would outpattern both Winchester and Federal 2.25 ounce #5s.
No jakes!

I have an Sp-10, that I have alot of work done to. I had the barrel cut to 22 inches, forcing cone lengthened and polished, a Rhino choke tube, Barrel ported ( 40 holes on each side), and a Millet Red Dot scope. I will put it up against any gun. I shoot Federal Premium Magnun turkey Loads 2 & 1/4 OZ. shot #4's or the Winchester Double X Magnums #5's . Both shoot great
