I bought two Novas (20 guage) a few years ago for my sons. They are nice guns.

No problems with them, and I paid not much more than the 870.

I got my nova at Bass Pro for $299.00. couldn't believe the price and the gun shoots great. I got the synthetic black...$80.00 more for the camo. spent the difference on a good choke and ammo. my opinion the color doesn't matter if your a good hunter.
it's all personal preference though, some swear by their mossberg, others by their remington, I say compare prices and get what you can afford.

Hey smooth the bennelli nova has never failed in the 3 years i have had it and i hunt pheasant, turkey, dove and crow !!! averge several hundred shot a year and not one problem!!! Well there is that nasty forarm rattle that all turkey hunter complain about !!! Nothin a heavy rubber band cant cure !!
