I bought a fixed 4x32 Simmons scope for my 11-87 for about $75. I like it so far.

I have a Weaver V3 1-3X on my turkey gun, and I really like it. They're $119 on sale on Natchezss.com. Lots of people use the Simmons and like them, but they have some problems with some of them. It depends on what you want to spend. For a real inexpensive scope check out the Bushnell Sportsman 1.5-4.5X with a 21mm front objective.http://search.cartserver.com/search/...&go=Find+It%21

You want a scope with a Wide field of view on a Low power setting. I like power to my turkey gun because it helps me indenify the Tom befour he is in range. 1.75x5 Tasco is what I have atop my turk gun...BT

I have the same scope as Goldie76 on my Remington 870 Express Magnum. Works just fine. The diamond reticle is nice because it helps you with range estimation.

I haven't tried a BSA red-dot, but a reliable gunshop owner told me that every BSA he sold came back broken, so he quit selling them. I tried another red-dot and had trouble seeing the head and neck of a bird in low light. I switched to a Simmons 4x32 and love it.

They're a little pricey, but you can't beat Leupold or Burris for quality. 100% Made In The USA. I will always buy American-made optics.
