RE: Which locator call have u had more success with?
the owl works best for me in the early morning, crow later in day.
try them both,it will not bother them like calling to them with a hen call.
I have owl called and owl called and owl called with out any results, then hit the crow one time and he will double gobble.
it really depends on the bird.
I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest
remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

Without a doubt top to bottom here in Calif,a coyote howler or a Canadian honker goose flute will set em off!Gilobbleobbleobble!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

My best luck was with my truck horn.
It was by accident. I was getting out of my truck to take a leak when I bumped the horn. All of a sudden the woods just exploded with gobbles. Ever since, when all other locate calls failed, I'd hit the horn. Maybe half of the times I've tried I have gotten a gobble when the other locate calls failed.
Now the key is not to go walking straight at the gobbler. Work your way around and start calling from a different direction.

The owl call works best for me...Over 90% of the time, in the mornings they gobble at it.

Crow has worked better than owl or woodpecker for me. Truth is, none of them have worked real well for me the last few years compared to turkey sounds from a loud, high-pitched call. Might try a hawk or coyote this year. I'd rather save the turkey sounds for working instead of locating.
