You can have all the calls in the world and be the best caller in the world but if your gun can' t shoot good enough then there is no sense in even going unless you just like to be in the woods to hear them like I do.The whole hunt comes down to when you pull the trigger.So why shoot a shell and choke that is " good enough " instead of getting the best you can get.I must confess though I don' t even have the nitro hevi-shot YET but will by next spring.

Hevi shot last year. In my 835 ulti-mag #5' s 3 1/2" pattern best. The choke I use is made by Pure Gold out of South Carolina. This combination is awsome. At 40 yards on a regular turkey target copied on a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper you can' t put a quarter down without covering shot holes. I work part time for Bass Pro Shop here in North Carolina and they carry these chokes. Price is going to be around $60.00. If you have a Bass Pro near you, you can have them order one from our store and have it shipped there. I plan to get some Nitro hevi-shot for next spring, but I want to know what sort of a pattern do you guys get/see at 20 yards with Nitro Hevi-Shot and a Rhino or other special choke tube??? I shoot most of my birds inside of 20 yards, so I wouldn't want a pattern the size of a fifty cent piece or smaller at 20 yards.

Snowdog, here's a pattern target I shot last spring with the Rhino choke tube and a Nitro Hevishot turkey load. The distance was 38 yards and that is a 10" circle with a honest 316 pellets inside that circle!! My Winchester 1300 now found it's best choke/load bar none!! I can highly praise the Rhino choke and Nitro shells!! The shell was #378 which is 3" 1 7/8oz load of 4X5X7 plated hevishot!! One word......AWESOME!!

. Your going to make me go out and buy that darn choke... That is one awsome pattern. You cant ask for much better than that!!!! I've been tossing around the idea of buying that Remington pump turkey gun with the iron sights on it.
