Pot Call Preferences
#11
I like the 3.5" calls in diameter as they are far easier to hold.
I don't notice much tone difference using a 3 inch to the bigger size of 3 .5 inch.
I carry several different wood strikers including a few bone strikers. I seem to use bone or purple heart the most. The bone is also my wingbone.
I carry 2 pots and have for years.
I do have lots of pots but these two seem to stay with my vest.
One is a copper/walnut.....
Other is a Maple burl Glass over Slate and that is a double sided call. Glass on one side Slate on the other.

The call in my turkey pic is an aluminum over glass double sided call. The way I made it gives it a much raspier sound than you might be used to with aluminum. The blackwood is so dense that it really pops rather than absorbing the sound. I like my surface recessed just for looks.
