Fall Tactics

RE: Fall Tactics
Finding the flock, busting the flock, call in the flock, what the flock else is there?
I' m kidding of course....scouting sure plays a big part of it. Knowing the property, knowing where your birds are surely helps...that' s the biggest part of the battle...once you find them and run at them like a mad man.....which is the easy part then sitting back and listening to all the vocalizations...it' s incredible.
Food sources like old grape vanes, cut corn fields, oak flats....are excellent places to start looking, especially in our areas.
The Kee Kee run, assembly yelps of an adult hen work great.

LOL Mike,I almost forgot an important tactic. You need a turkey dog(or a cousin named Mike)to herd a flock of turkeys from an open field to the patch of woods you and the other guys are sittin.P.S. Don' t forget to pat him on the head and tell him good job.
