Box call, box call, mouth diaphragm, pushbutton, slate.
Guess I don' t really have a favorite. I carry too many calls, use them all, shoot a turkey when I can. My all time favorite is probably my Quaker Boy Grand Old Master box call, because I' ve probably killed the most toms when I started the yelping with it, but I like too many of my calls, unfortunately. Jack of all trades (calls), master of none.
My basic technique is to yelp my fool head off. Though lately, I' ve started to purr " real purty" with my mouth diaphragm. And I called a tom in the last forty yards with leaf scratching only this past spring, so technique is whatever the muses have inspired me to try at that particular moment.
