I was speaking from experience!
And the question is?
Are you fast enough Grasshopper to turn and shoot or do you just stay still hoping he fades away so you can try to adjust and call him back?
JW
Ps hey this is fun?
What do you do?

Now thats funny,
Good question JW I know I'm the kinda hunter that has a hard time not to look at the noise that I relate to a gobbler. I think I would have to SLOWLY turn my head to see when I could make the move
This is good
Great thing I bought that new camera and was playing while on the ridge and the time was slow

I had this happen a few times.........and as Pat_Ely's signature indicates - "That warm Fuzzy Feeling when a Gobble happens 10 ft behind you!"
To tell the truth it was all I could do was not to jump at that Gobble both times when it hapeened. And I was afraid to move as the bird on one instance and birds on the second where so close I sure as heck thought they wherre breathing down my back!
But wht worked for me. Was to sit motionless - and wait till they lost interest and walked away - only to turn quickly to get in place and leaf scratch with a few soft clucks.
Worked both times for me!
