RE: Just won't come in
Well just got back and had 3 hens and a big old tom come in. The hens come over the the decoys but the tom stayed off at 60 yards and wouldn't come any closer. The hens started to respond back when I called then the tom sounded off. These hens where talking back to me then things got still. I was ready I thought they would come in and check things and they did but the tom wouldn't give me a chance. It was a great experience again and even not getting a bird the time in the field is the most rewarding to me anyway. And yes hunting with a bow is always more challenging. With a bow you have to do more moving when the shot presents it self.

I have had a gobbler call work with a hung up bird. He hung up at 70 yards for an hour i took out the gobbler and he broke strut and ran the rest of the way or have someone call fifty yards behind you.

Thanks for the info. I always hunt along but would be nice to have another person sometime. These birds are very educated birds and do get some calling durning the hunt season. I quess I had my chance it just was not suppose to be.
